Chelsea are being linked with a sensational move for Raheem Sterling. Speculation has been building up over the 19-year old’s future over the past few weeks, with the England man’s contract situation currently up in the air.
Real Madrid are oen team believed to be keeping a close eye on the situation but another team also interested is Chelsea. Boss Jose Mourinho is hoping that an offer of a staggering £48m could see the youngster switch to Stamford Bridge.
Reports are claiming that he could be open to a move elsewhere and the Blues are very interested in a deal, especially with Mourinho keen to add more English players to his side. However, Chelsea fans will be getting flashbacks of the last time they did big business with Liverpool – it was the deal that saw Fernando Torres move to the club in a £50m deal.
That move didn’t go to plan, but Chelsea officials are confident that if a deal did go ahead, then Sterling would continue to develop and become a top player.
