Josh McEachran has been loaned out for the fifth time in his career, this time to Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.
He has become the third player this summer to make that switch following Wallace and Bertrand Traore.
The youngster last featured for the Blues back in January 2012 and has since gone on to have spells with Swansea, Middlesbrough, Watford and Wigan Athletic.
McEachran has been highly regarded as the brightest English prospect to come out of the Chelsea academy in a decade but is still yet to properly establish himself in Mourinho’s squad.
Vitesse’s technical director, Mo Allach spoke about the move, saying: “Josh is a talented player who can play as a controlling midfielder.
“I have seen Josh several times last season so his qualities are well-known to us and we are convinced that he can show them here.”
