Filipe Luis and Toby Alderweireld could be swapping clubs
Chelsea have opened talks with Spanish giants Atletico Madrid to complete the transfer of defender Toby Alderweireld with Filipe Luis going the other way with £5million.
Blues manager Jose Mourinho was impressed with the Belgium international while he was on loan at Southampton last campaign.
Potential Deal
Chelsea are willing to use Brazil international Luis, 29, as bait to complete the deal, according to reports in Spain and England.
Atletico boss Diego Simeone wants to welcome Luis back to the Spanish capital and the deal looks likely to go ahead.
However, the Atletico board do not want a straight swap deal as they believe Alderweireld, 26, is worth more after a better season and it is reported that they want at least £5million with Luis for the deal to go ahead.
