This Chelsea player is perfect for Conte’s 3-4-3 system

Despite being a surprise ‘panic-buy’ Marcos Alonso has been a key figure for the Blues this season.

Antonio Conte is famous for favouring the 3-4-3 system which he implemented with Chelsea.

So far it’s worked, with the current squad sheet Conte managed to find a system that is bringing out the best of the players.

And these were players that were struggling in form only last season.

The fans were quite surprised when the Blue bought Alonso over to Stamford Bridge and questions were raised to whether Marcus would fit into the West London Side.

At first they had every right to be concerned, to be honest I totally forgot he was at Chelsea.

Enter Conte’s new system and pow!, Marcos Alonso’s talent is unleashed.

Marcus has show he can push forward whilst also being capable of tracking back to assist the back-three.

We can see Conte is impressed by this and has no doubt locked him in the new system rotation.

FACT: Chelsea are yet to concede a goal in the Premier League when Marcos Alonso has started.

Following the 5-0 win, Alonso had this to say to BT Sport,

‘I am very happy to score my first goal, the whole team is playing very well and that is important. Now is time to rest over the international break and come back with the same concentration.’
