Chelsea are set to £51m to try and sign the Atletico Madrid treble of Tiago, Filipe Luis and Diego Costa. The Blues are already very close to completing a deal for Costa, with the move likely to be confirmed in the coming days.

Jose Mourinho was publicly critical of his strikeforce last season and sees the Spanish forward as the answer to his problems in front of goal. However, Mourinho also wants Filipe Luis and Tiago to join him at Stamford Bridge according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

Left-back Luis has already turned down a new deal at Atletico because he wants a Chelsea move. Reports suggest he has a £19m buy-out clause in his contract and he has asked the club to lower it to help push through a move to England. Tiago would also be happy to move as Filipe Luis is his best friend and he would like to follow him to London.

The midfielder has worked with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea before, back when the Special One was first in charge. He featured 34 times for the Blues, scoring 4, before making a £6.5m move to Lyon and he could now be on his way back to the Premier League.

Mourinho is now hoping that £51m will be enough to secure the signature of this Atletico trio.
