Blues desperate to land Everton star
Chelsea have not given up hope of signing Everton centre-back John Stones, and according to reports, they are ready to big bid this time around.
The Blues went after the Everton defender throughout the summer ahead of this season, but they saw three formal offers turned down, with the highest being worth around £38million.
After missing out on Stones, Chelsea turned their attentions elsewhere, but failed in their attempts to sign Marquinhos from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 21-year-old stayed put at Goodison Park, despite reported interest from Manchester United and FC Barcelona as well, but according to reports, Chelsea are readying a fourth bid.
Chelsea to meet Demands
According to reports, Chelsea are ready to meet Everton’s asking-price for the centre-back, which is believed to be around £50m, and are ready to get the deal done to lure Stones to Stamford Bridge.
The same report claims that Roman Abramovich has put aside £50m to get the deal done this month.
