Arsenal ready to offer midfielder £110k-a-week deal
Jack Wilshere is set to be offered a new long-term deal by Arsenal worth around £110k-a-week, according to reports.
The England international has once again been suffering with injuries, which has kept him out for the entirety of this season, but that hasn’t stopped officials from the Emirates Stadium wanting to offer him a new deal.
Wilshere was in red-hot form at the end of last season, scoring for both club and country, but after suffering a stress fracture in his right-foot, he’s yet to kick a ball this season.
New Deal for Wilshere
Despite his consistent injury problems, Arsenal are still preparing to offer him a new deal and are prepared to make him one of the club’s highest paid players.
Wilshere currently earns around £90k-a-week, but according to reports, Arsenal could be set to offer him a pay-rise of £20k, taking his weekly earnings to £110k.
With talks reportedly ongoing, it’s looking likely that Wilshere’s new deal will keep him at the club until 2021.
The Englishman was linked with a shock summer move to Manchester City, with the Citizens desperately needing English players in their squad.
