The Uruguayan international has recently emerged as one of the Blues’ top targets for the end of the season amid rumours that he is ready to leave his current side.

Cavani only joined PSG last year, but he is already thought to be unsettled at the Parc des Princes.

This has alerted Chelsea, who were keen on him prior to his switch to the French capital.

Jose Mourinho is said to see the South American as the ideal solution to his side’s attacking concerns, and the calibre of forward capable of leading the line for a sustained push for the Premier League title.

But to fund a deal for Cavani, the London club are likely to have to sell.

Ba and Lukaku have emerged as two players that ‘The Special One’ is open to offloading, with the duo attracting interest.

Lukaku has been linked with a number of Premier League sides, and is likely to be sought after if he becomes available.

Meanwhile Ba was close to a move away from Stamford Bridge in January, but a deal was scuppered by Fernando Torres’ injury problems.
