Baba becomes Chelsea’s third summer signing
Chelsea are on the verge of completing the signing of Augsburg left-back Rahman Baba for a fee believed to be in the region of 25million euros/£18m.
Blues manager Jose Mourinho has wanted to bring in another left-back this summer as he has wanted to replace Brazilian defender Filipe Luis who has moved back to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid just a year after moving to Stamford Bridge.
Deal is Done
Mourinho has splashed the £15.8million from that deal on Ghana international Rahman Baba according to newspaper reports in Germany and Sports Bild.
Baba, 21, is one of the hottest prospects in world football at the minute and has attracted a lot of attention in from a range of Champions League clubs this summer, after an impressive breakthrough campaign with Bundesliga side Augsburg last term.
Also, Bundesliga expert and journalist Daniel Busch revealed the transfer on Twitter, he tweeted: “Chelsea sign Augsburg left-back Rahman Baba for a fee of more than €25m, according to SportBild.”
