Chelsea could be set to lose Mohamed Salah permanently over the Summer as Fiorentina eye a £13million deal.

The Egyptian is currently out on loan in Italy after agreeing a move in the January transfer window which saw Juan Cuadrado move the other way, and after impressing during his brief time there, the club are already considering making the move permanent.

The 22-year-old initially signed a six-month loan deal but they could extend it to a season-long loan if they wanted to. However, they have been so impressed with the winger’s form that they want to strike a permanent deal at the end of the season.

According to reports, Fiorentina and Chelsea have already agreed to a £13m price-tag to make the deal permanent and it’s a price that the Serie A side are willing to pay for the star who’s scored six and assisted two in all competitions.

However, due to the terms and conditions of the loan deal, Fiorentina would have to wait until the end of next season to secure the deal permanently.

Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella has already been quick to praise the Egyptian for the impact he’s had since arriving in Italy.

He said last week: “For now, we have benefited.

“We knew the superb characteristics of the player, but we did not expect him to have such an impact on Italian football.

“Perhaps only Messi is faster than him with the ball at one’s feet.”
