Izzy Brown confirms clause in his loan deal

Chelsea striker Izzy Brown has confirmed that the club can re-call him from loan in January.

The youngster is on a season-long loan to feeder club Vitesse Arnhem, but he has revealed that a clause has been put in his deal that could see him return to Stamford Bridge in January.

The 18-year-old is predicted a bright future at Chelsea, but with several strikers already at the club, Jose Mourinho decided that another loan-spell away from the club would be best for both parties.

When speaking about his loan deal, Brown confirmed that The Blues can recall him halfway through the deal if they want to.

Re-call Clause

“It seems that I will stay here for a full year, but Chelsea can recall me in January and Vitesse can also send me back,” he told Dutch publication Voetbal International.

New Contract

Before going out on loan to Vitesse, Brown signed a new four-year contract at the club on deadline day and he tweeted his delight at the new deal.

“Very happy to have a signed a new 4 year contract with @ChelseaFC, hard work doesn’t stop!”
