La Liga stars not for sale
Chelsea have been put on a set-back in their transfer moves for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane and Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke, according to reports.
Both of the La Liga stars are on Jose Mourinho’s transfer shopping list in the summer as he looks to bolster his side as Chelsea are set to target bringing the Champions League trophy to Stamford Bridge next season.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti values Varane at £30million while Diego Simeone values Koke at £40million.
Potential Transfer Ban
However, Chelsea could be in crisis over these £70million-pounds worth of transfers due to a threat of an impending FIFA ban so the players may remain in the Spanish capital.
Real and Atletico are under investigation because they may have broken the rules that relate to signings of foreign players under of the age 18 – this means the France international and Spain international could remain in Spain for a while.
