Chelsea Football Club target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that he needs to leave Borussia Dortmund if he wants to “grow” as a player.
Aubameyang incredible season for Dortmund, scoring 31 goals in 32 Bundesliga matches to make him the top scorer in the league.
Chelsea have been reported to be chasing him for quite a while now with no success, at one stage it seemed the player didn’t want a move away from BVB, however, after clearly reflecting on his career, he has decided otherwise.
This is a huge boost for the Blues, who may now make another attempt to lure the star over to Stamford Bridge this summer, but Dortmund set any interested clubs a deadline of last month to make any suitable offers.
However, despite nobody matching their valuation, the 28-year-old has now revealed that he is considering leaving the German side.
“I am still reflecting on whether I should leave or not,” he told Radio Montecarlo Italy
“This club and these fans are incredible, but if I want to grow, I feel I need to leave.”
