Atletico Madrid have forced wantaway defender Filipe Luis to train with the club’s reserves as he seeks a transfer away to Premier League side Chelsea.

The Spanish champions face a hectic Summer with several of their players being tracked by bigger clubs, and after Diego Costa completed his move away to Chelsea, it has been widely speculated that Luis could join him.

After releasing Ashley Cole, Chelsea have been on the market for a new left-back, and after Luke Shaw chose Manchester United, Jose Mourinho turned his attentions to Luis, but things stalled due to a ÂŁ20million price-tag.

However, Luis has now formally told Madrid that he wants to leave and will do anything he can to help push through a transfer to Stamford Bridge, even reportedly willing to pay some of his own transfer fee, and due to his attitude, he has now been sent to the reserves.

The clue returned to pre-season last week, and Luis was told by Diego Simeone that he must train with the reserves for his behaviour throughout the Summer.
