Blues technical director Michael Emenalo is keen to bring over West Ham ace Manuel Lanzini, according to reports.
Following Dimitri Payet’s controversial exit in January, Lanzini has been one of the Hammers’ best performers this season.
Reports are claiming Blues technical director Michael Emenalo wants to get the Argentine ace to Stamford Bridge this summer.
It is said that Chelsea believe Lanzini can help bolster their ranks ahead of their Champions League return.
The report claims if Cesc Fabregas leaves due to interest from other clubs, Chelsea will step up their pursuit of the West Ham star.
Amid all the speculation surrounding his future, Lanzini has stringly insisted he won’t be jumping ship as Payet did earlier this year.
He said: “The season was good for me on a personal level, at the beginning it was not great [due to injury] but then I could achieve a good level.
“Dimi is a great player, he left and it was not a good news for the squad but luckily at the end I had a very good season.
“For now, I am thinking of the next game then thinking of having good holidays with the family. I am very happy here.”
