Manchester City have now entered the race to sign Frenchman
Chelsea are set to battle alongside Manchester City for Antoine Griezmann, according to reports.
The Blues have been admirers of the Atletico Madrid star since the summer, but after failing to get a deal done, more clubs have entered the race to sign the Frenchman, and City are one of them.
According to reports, Griezmann is valued in Spain at around £31.5million, and it’s believed both Premier League clubs could launch formal moves for the attacker in the New Year.
Griezmann Career
Griezmann started his career as a left-winger and enjoyed his time at La Liga side Real Sociedad before completing a move to Atletico where he was converted into a striker by manager Diego Simeone.
The 24-year-old has netted five goals so far this season, but was in prolific form last year and is dubbed one of the hottest properties across Europe.
Both City and Chelsea are expected to launch formal bids.
