Chelsea have told AS Roma that if they want to sign Mohamed Salah, they will have to cough up £13million.
The Egyptian winger has failed to impress during his brief time at Stamford Bridge and after falling further down the pecking order this season, he is finally set to leave the club he joined this time last year.
The 22-year-old has many admirers despite his lack of first-team football in the year he’s been in England, with Hamburg, Besiktas, Real Sociedad, Inter Milan and now Roma all interested.
According to reports, Rudi Garcia is ready to make an £11.5m bid for the winger, but Chelsea are holding firm for £13m, which is Salah’s buy-out clause in his contract.
Another option for Roma is a loan-deal this month with the option of making it permanent in the Summer.
