Chelsea are prepared to sell defender Filipe Luis in order to sign Atletico Madrid star, Koke.
The Blues have been long-term admirers of Koke and were interested in signing him last Summer only to be told he wasn’t for sale for any price.
However, Chelsea did end up signing two players from the La Liga champions, Diego Costa and Filipe Luis, but they are now ready to sell the latter after he has failed to justify his £16million price-tag.
Jose Mourinho signed the Brazilian as a replacement for Ashley Cole, but he has failed to cement a first-team spot during his time in England, and according to reports, the West London outfit are ready to sell him already,
It’s believed that Atletico may offer Luis a chance to rejoin them at the end of the season, but it’s thought that Chelsea would be interested in signing Koke despite his £48m price-tag.
The two clubs have a good relationship after doing business in the past, and it’s thought The Blues are confident that they can secure a deal involving Koke and Luis.
