Jamie Carragher thinks La Liga will come calling

Sky Sports Pundit Jamie Carragher thinks Chelsea will struggle to keep hold of Eden Hazard once the La Liga comes calling for him.

The Belgium international has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent seasons, but has since dismissed the claims and repeatedly revealed his desires to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Fresh reports emerged this week that Madrid will renew their interest in the winger over the Summer, which lead to Jose Mourinho stating he will do everything he possibly can to keep the star in West London.

However, Carragher thinks it’s only a matter of time before he ups and leaves the club for a Spanish side.

Premier League Lose Stars

“We’ve lost too many players when you think of the likes of [Gareth] Bale, [Cristiano] Ronaldo and Xabi Alonso,” the Liverpool legend said.

“When Real Madrid and Barcelona come in for one of your players it’s difficult to keep them because they are big clubs in a country with a lifestyle where players, particularly attacking players and foreign players, dream of playing one day.

“I certainly think Hazard is among the top six or seven in world football and there’s no doubt he’s a brilliant footballer.

“He’s a player you’d only expect to get better the more he works under Mourinho because he keeps on improving.”

Bale Out, Hazard In?

Madrid are still considering the future of Gareth Bale after he’s struggled to find his form of last season, and it’s possible that they could cash in on the Welshman and then use the funds on luring Hazard to Spain.
