Chelsea have won the race to land 17-year-old starlet, Cristian Manea, and will pay £2.3million to Viitorul Constanta in order to complete the deal in January.
Manea, who is the youngest ever person to represent Romania, has broken into the first team at Constanta, and his impressive displays have caught the eye of Jose Mourinho, who is willing to pay just over £2m for his services.
According to reports, numerous European sides have been scouting Manea and have been interested in signing him, but it’s believed in his homeland that it’s the Premier League giants that have won the race to sign him.
The young right-back will complete his move in January, and then will be sent on loan to one of Chelsea’s feeder clubs so that he can continue his development.
