Officials fear goalkeeper will push for a transfer away

Chelsea are fearing star-goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will push for a move away from the club over the summer following their disastrous campaign.

The Blues have gone from champions to bottom-half in the Premier League in the space of a few months, and their chances of getting Champions League football next season are very slim.

The only way Chelsea will get that next year is if they win the competition this season, and after losing 2-1 in Paris on Tuesday night, they will have to overturn that deficit at Stamford Bridge in order to progress to the Quarter Finals.

Chelsea are expecting Eden Hazard to depart the club, after he’s visibly unhappy at Stamford Bridge, but officials at the club are now worrying about Courtois‘ future as well.

Courtois Off?

They believed the star-‘keeper may look elsewhere and may push through an exit due to the season’s failures.

The 23-year-old has previously spent three years on loan with La Liga giants Atletico Madrid, so a return there could be on the cards, and officials are fearing the worst.

The Belgian missed the majority of the season due to a serious knee injury sustained in the season opener against Swansea City.
