Christian Atsu believes all Newcastle United need is a win in the next game which could set the ball rolling for the remainder of the season.
Rafa Benitez’s men are still searching for their first win of the season after eight games. The Magpies are not only battling problems on the pitch as questions have been raised over Mike Ashley’s way of managing the club.
The Newcastle owner is reportedly willing to sell the club but is yet to find a potential buyer for the club. Despite dominating the Championship last season, Benitez couldn’t get hands on his preferred players as Ashley refused to inject more money to the club.
The result is clearly hurting the Tyneside club as Benitez hasn’t been able to turn things so far. But Atsu feels a win in the next match against Brighton & Hove Albion could change the whole situation.
“Rafa Benitez is always behind us.
“Everything is done for a reason, and we know we have to strive to give more on the pitch for him.
“We are happy as a group but we know we have to improve results.”
“We won at West Ham and it turned.
“One game and one result can change confidence and atmosphere.
“We’re just fighting for the shirt and the fans.”
