Guardiola wants reunion with midfielder

Pep Guardiola is ready to launch a £50million bid to reunite with midfielder Toni Kroos at Manchester City.

The Blues have made an approach and have received encouragement that a deal may be possible.

European champions Real need to offload one of their Galacticos to compete with Manchester United in the £100m bidding war for Paul Pogba.

They are demanding that £50m fee for the German World Cup winner, after paying Bayern £24m for him two years ago.

Kroos, 26, is happy at the Bernabeu after claiming his second Champions League with Real, but it is understood he is not ruling out a move.

City have not spoken directly to Real and are wary about being used to engineer a pay rise for Kroos, who has four years left on his current £90,000-a-week agreement.
