City prepare bid for Fabregas

Manchester City have entered the race to sign Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas and are willing to pay the £30 million valuation Barcelona have set on the player.

The club see Fabregas as a potential replacement for seemingly unhappy Yaya Toure and would add even more flair to the midfield at the Etihad.

However, Manchester City are not the only potential suitors for the Spaniards signature, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and former club Arsenal are all ready to begin a bidding war.

Boss Pellegrini knows that any bid for Fabregas would alert Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger to act upon it and begin the process of a potential transfer back to the Emirates.

City know that Toure’s wages are more than double that of Fabregas’ and would be willing to up the player’s wage bill eventhough he is currently earning £100,000 a week at the Nou Camp.

Arsenal do have first refusal on Fabregas, but City know that with their financial power, a £30 million pound move could be on the cards.
