It has been confirmed that Alexandre Pato will join Villarreal from Corinthians after a very unsuccessful loan spell with Chelsea last season.
The Brazil striker joined the Blues on loan at the end of January, however, he only scored one goal and then left the club alongside Radamel Falcao on July 1st.
Even though Corinthians expected Pato to stay with Chelsea next season, they confirmed on their official website that the 26-year-old will join the La Liga side Villarreal after selling their stake in him.
So far no one has disclosed the figure involved, However, on Tuesday Marca were reporting the Spanish club will fork out €3m for 60 per cent of Pato’s rights. Crazy stuff!
