Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was today asked if Diego Costa was off to China in the summer.
Speaking during a press conference ahead of the Premier League leaders FA Cup clash with London rivals Tottenham, it was no surprise that the future of Diego Costa was mentioned to Antonio Conte.
Costa became subject of a huge bid from China earlier in the season, after he had made a terrific start for the Blues’ and spearheaded their attack in fearsome form.
Since this offer, Costa has seen his form dip – with many fans pointing at the offer from China turning the Brazilian internationals head, and many speculating he no longer wishes to play for Chelsea.
Despite having a big cup tie with their closest Premier League challengers to focus on, questions regarding the future of Costa were undoubtedly going to surface, and Antonio Conte dealt with them the way we have come to expect from him.
When asked if Diego Costa will go to China this summer, he said: “We must be focused and continue to do what we are doing until now.
“We must finish a good season for us and then we want to do something extraordinary.”
