Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he did not have to give any second thoughts about leaving Real Madrid for Juventus. Real Madrid was the club where Ronaldo cemented his status as one of the best footballers in the world. The Portuguese forward played 438 matches for the club during his 9-year stay, scoring 450 goals. However, he could not wait to join Juventus. The 33-year old said that he admired the club since he was a kid.

Talking to JuventusTV, Ronaldo said, “Great club, first of all it is a great club. Since I was a kid, I looked at this team and said I hope to play there one day. Now I will play for a fantastic club, one of the biggest clubs in the world. I’m happy. I don’t have a precise moment when I decided.

During the years, we played a few times against Juve and I had a special feeling that the Italian supporters like Cristiano. It’s the biggest club in Italy, one of the best in the world, so it was an easy decision, as Juve are an unbelievable club.”

Ronaldo will make his debut for Juventus in the club’s Serie A opener against Chievo.
