Delight For Madrid, Disappointment For United

Manchester United fans were more than disappointed with their hopes of their former superstar rejoining the club.

Ronaldo signed a new 5 year deal with Spanish giants Real Madrid, with the contract reported to be worth 15million a year.

The contract extension was showed on Real Madrid TV, alongside Club President Florentino Perez.

The 28 year old forward, whos former deal was due to run out in 2015, was thrilled when signing a contract extension with his boyhood Club.

Besides Ronaldo still being appreciated by United fans it seems highly unlikely now he’s commited his long term future to Madrid.

Ronaldo said, ””I’m really happy here,” he said. “I’ll be here five more years. I just want to win trophies for this club.”

“I will be honest with you – everyone knows I was in Manchester for six years. Manchester is in the past.”

“Now my club is Real Madrid. This is my home, my family is here and I’m really happy here.”

Ronaldo also hinted he may stay on with the Club until reitrement.

“I respect all the clubs who ask about me. But they always know that my decision, that my only goal is to be here and to play at this club until, maybe, the end of my career.
