Crystal Palace bust-up!

Crystal Palace duo Marouane Chamakh and Dean Moxley were close to coming to blows in the dressing room at St Mary’s after the two had to be separated by team-mates after their 2-0 loss to Southampton.

The defeat has left Ian Holloway’s side 19th in the Premier League and it seems that tempers are flaring between the players due to the lack of points.

Chamakh was already having a controversial game after he was booked for diving in the penalty area when the score was 0-0.

After the booking, Moxley went over to the striker and yelled at him in front of everyone, with reports now suggesting that the two players came to blows in the changing rooms, only to be pulled apart by team-mates.

Despite being booked for diving, the former-Arsenal striker defended himself and insisted that he didn’t try to win a penalty.

‘I am really disappointed. He touched me – that is certain. The referee can’t tell me, “No he didn’t”. I felt it when he touched me.

‘I can’t guaranteed we’d have scored. Whatever happens, it changed the match. I don’t think the referee took into account I had the chance to score.

‘To get a card is severe. If he had given the foul it would have been a red card; it would have changed the match.’
