Crystal Palace to turn to David Moyes

Crystal Pace are set to turn to David Moyes to fill the vacant managerial position at Selhurst Park, according to the Evening Standard.

Palace are still in the hunt for a new manager, in what has been a awful week at the South London club, following the resignation of Tony Pulis before the Arsenal game last week.

The Eagles were due to appoint Malky Mackay on Thursday, but following a string of sexist, homophobic and racist texts sent to Iain Moody, a close friend who is the chief executive at Palace, Steve Parish decided to pull the plug on the appointment.

And late last night, the Independent reported that Tim Sherwood had pulled his name out of the race, leading Moyes as the stand out name to take the job.

It would be a return to football for 50 year old Moyes, who was sacked by Manchester United in April following a poor season at Old Trafford, having took over from Sir Alex Ferguson that summer.

Neil Lennon has also been linked with the post at Palace.
