Liverpool star now joining in with team-mates

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has returned to full first-team training for the first time since last season.

The England international missed the majority of last season due to several injury problems, and after the last one sustained, he was sent to America by the club for rehab.

Sturridge spent all the summer in America getting back to full-fitness and he returned to Melwood at the end of last month.

However, he has now taken a major step to his return by joining up with the rest of his team-mates for first-team training.

Selection Dilemma

Sturridge was predicted to be back in time for the Manchester United game, which is this Saturday, but as it stands, Brendan Rodgers won’t be risking him so soon.

Rodgers could have a selection dilemma with Christian Benteke reportedly injured as well, leaving the club with just Danny Ings or Divock Origi to choose from.

Sturridge’s last appearance for Liverpool came back in April against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup.
