Liverpool have been dealt yet another major blow as reports emerged late last night that Daniel Sturridge has picked up another injury during training.
The 25-year-old, who has only played three games so far this season, picked up a thigh injury during Tuesday’s session and is now set to have a scan on it today so that Brendan Rodgers can see the full extent of the injury.
The Englishman was set to make his return from injury this weekend, but the latest news comes as yet another blow to Rodgers, Sturridge and Liverpool, who are yet to get going this season.
This is the second thigh injury picked up by Sturridge already this season, the first coming in September, before he then injured his groin in October.
Duration of the injury will be revealed after the scans later on today.
