Liverpool dealt another blow ahead of crunch match
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge WON’T be fit in time for the club’s crunch game against Manchester United next weekend despite returning from USA last week.
The England international hasn’t played since April after undergoing hip surgery in America, and it was thought that he could make his long-awaited return against United on the 12th.
However, reports this morning have confirmed that the clash against Louis van Gaal‘s men may come too soon for the striker, who is still training at Melwood throughout the international break.
Two Injured Strikers
Brendan Rodgers was dealt a blow earlier in the week with Christian Benteke picking up an injury meaning he could also miss out, but as it stands, he is more likely to feature than Sturridge.
The 26-year-old is still doing individual training at Melwood but is scheduled to join in with his team-mates over the next few weeks.
