Italian will take over at Chelsea on 14th July

Antonio Conte will officially take over at Chelsea Football Club on 14th July, according to reports.

The Italy head-coach is heavily tipped to become the next Chelsea manager, replacing Guus Hiddink at the end of the current season after the Dutchman steps down from his interim-role.

Hiddink has been at Stamford Bridge since December after he replaced the sacked Jose Mourinho on a temporary contract.

Despite him still being undefeated in the Premier League and guiding them from 16th to 10th, Hiddink won’t be staying on any longer at the club and is adamant he’s leaving in the summer.

Date Set for Conte

After months of speculation, with several names linked, it looks like Conte is set to be named the new Chelsea boss and according to reports, he will officially take over in mid-July, just four days after the European Championship ends.

Conte was keen to see out his contract with Italy and he will guide them throughout the Euros and will then leave his role for Chelsea on the 14th.

Representatives for the manager have been in London over the past few weeks talking to Roman Abramovich, and it’s reported that he’ll sign a three-year deal worth ÂŁ18million.

Should Conte guide Italy to the Euros final, he will have just four days to then turn his attentions to Chelsea and club management.
