Paris Saint-Germain defender David Luiz left Chelsea this Summer due to his relationship with Jose Mourinho breaking down.
The Brazilian centre-back completed his transfer away from Stamford Bridge after PSG offered The Blues a whopping £50million bid for the 27-year-old, and with the move now completed, it’s been revealed that Luiz and Mourinho’s relationship reached breaking point.
Despite Mourinho telling the defender at the beginning of last season that he will be a crucial first-team figure for him, Luiz struggled to break into the team due to the partnership between Gary Cahill and John Terry, which left Luiz spending a lot of the time on the bench.
Luiz was a loved figure within the Chelsea dressing room due to his positive attitude and his willingness to help his teammates, but his personality was not admired by Mourinho and the two ended up not speaking at all near the end of the season.
Both parties realised come May that they couldn’t work together any longer and eventually Luiz completed his move away.
