Manchester United manager David Moyes is plotting a double swoop for Borussia Dortmund duo Ilkay Gundogan and Marco Reus, with the potential move being sweetened by sending Shinji Kagawa the other way.
Reus has developed into one of the deadliest midfielder’s in European football and last season scored 19-goals in all competitions.
His impressive campaign has seen his release clause rise to £29.7million, but this a something that Moyes is happy to meet, as well as throwing in former-Dortmund man Kagawa after the Japan international has failed to make an impact at Old Trafford.
Not only does Moyes want Reus, he is also linked with holding-midfielder Gundogan, who hasn’t been a regular feature so far this season, making just three appearances.
Many United fans were left disappointed with the club’s transfer dealings in the Summer, but it is thought that they will be heavily spending in January to ensure they can compete with the league’s best.
