Real Madrid have reportedly told Manchester United they want goalkeeper David De Gea. And if the stopper isn’t included in the upcoming £100million Gareth Bale offer, then the deal is off.
Real are looking for a long term replacement for the goalkeeping legend that is Iker Casillas, and De Gea has become their prime target to succeed the 33-year-old Spaniard between the sticks. De Gea has yet to commit to a new contract and may be very interested in the move back to his home nation.
United have made Bale their top target for the end of the season, and despite not wanting to lose their star goalkeeper, they may feel it is a price worth paying for a player that may leave anyway.
De Gea is considered one of the best in the world so far this season and will surely be able to negotiate with whoever he wants. United may just have to succumb to Real’s demands.
