Chelsea have been dealt a major blow with the news that Diego Costa’s injury could be worse than first feared.
The striker hobbled off just 10-minutes after coming on against Stoke City at the weekend after hurting his hamstring, which was the problem keeping him out of the game initially.
However, with the score at 1-1, Jose Mourinho wanted to introduce the striker so that they could push for the win, but the plan backfired as the Spaniard only lasted 10-minutes before having to withdraw from the game.
Initial thoughts were that Costa would only miss the game against Queens Park Rangers at the weekend, but it’s now feared that he may miss the Manchester United game and also the Arsenal game.
The news will come as a big blow to Mourinho who is hoping his side can see out the title after dominating the league for so long.
