Chelsea’s chances of offload striker Diego Costa to AC Milan appear to have hit a bump in the road
Mainly over Diego Costa’s wage demands.
Costa recently revealed that manager Antonio Conte had informed him he is not in his plans next season by text message , then only a day later, his agent, Jorge Mendes, was rumoured to be in talks with Milan, but now the move is in doubt.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Milan are unwilling to fork out for Diego Costa’s wage demands, which is said to be ÂŁ200,000-per-week. And that could be a problem as Milan are looking at a permanent signing rather than a loan where it might have been possible to arrange some sort of compromise with the Premier League champions.
However, other reports are saying Chelsea would rather go for the loan deal and are holding out for Atletico to make a formal move.
But will Diego Costa’s wage demands put some big clubs off?
