The Everton winger will stay at the club until the end of the season
Aiden McGeady has joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan until the end of the season.
The winger has only managed to feature once for Everton so far this season and boss Roberto Martinez has previously made it clear that he would like the Republic of Ireland international to get more first-team football elsewhere.
Wednesday are the club who are offering him that chance now, as they look to push for promotion to the Premier League. He is of course looking for more gametime himself, especially with the chance to play in the Euros this summer if he has a good season and gets called up to his national side.
A lot of experience
The 29-year old could prove to be an astute signing for the Owls. He has experience of the Premier League, the SPL and the Russian League and is regularly asked to play for the Republic of Ireland.
This experience could prove to be a massive boost to Sheffield Wednesday and he could be a big help to them as they challenge for a place at the top end of the Championship.
