Dortmund eye Gunners youngster

Borussia Dortmund have been linked with many players over the transfer period for a possible Lewandowski replacement. But they are now looking to Arsenal youngster Serge Gnabry according to German daily ‘Bild‘.

Bild claims that Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has already had Gnabry scouted on a couple of occasions in an attempt to bring the 18 year-old back to Germany. The winger would not be a direct replacement for Lewandowski, who has 11 league goals in his 16 starts this season and is the league’s joint top scorer, but Klopp states: “We are considering different players and different systems.”

Gnabry, who is under contract until 2018, will not be sold easily by the Gunners as he has just started to break into the first team and is now featuring more in Wenger’s side following injuries to key wingers such as Theo Walcott.

Gnabry has 1 goal from his 2 starts in the league this season and is a young prospect Klopp would be very keen to have in his squad as his side compete with Bayer Leverkusen for second spot.
