Long-term Arsenal targer Julian Draxler looks as if he may be staying put at current German club FC Schalke. The Gunners were heavily linked with the highly rated youngster in the summer and again in the January transfer window, but a move failed to materialise.
With summer fast apporaching again, rumours speculate that The Gunners are finally ready to grab their man, but according to Schalke’s sporting director Horst Heldt, the 20 year old will be going no where this summer,
He told Sky90, “I believe that Draxler will stay with us.”
Draxler has of course been linked with other big money moves to several other European giants of the game, including German champions Bayern Munich,
“I’d prefer not to comment on those rumours,” said Heldt, “look at Manuel Neuer, he said he would never join Bayern, but after playing as a pro for five years time changed his opinion.”
