French police are set to investigate the transfer that took Didier Drogba from Marseille to Chelsea back in 2004, and are also ready to look into the Samir Nasri transfer to Arsenal.

The duo both left the Ligue 1 side in order to join the Premier League, Drogab costing Chelsea ÂŁ30million, whilst Nasri cost Arsenal ÂŁ13m, but it’s believed that the transfers have been scrutinised by French authorities.

According to reports, there have been allegations of match fixing and fraud with regards to the transfers and both the Drogba to Chelsea deal and the Nasri to Arsenal deal are believed to have been scrutinised.

Two people are being questioned regarding the two transfers and it’s believed that illegitimate payments were made.

Current Marseille president, Vincent Labrune, and his two predecessors, Jean-Claude Dassier and Pape Diouf are all being questioned by police.
