Belgium isn’t worried for manager’s future

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has defended Jose Mourinho and is confident he won’t get the sack at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have had a poor start to the new campaign, winning just two games in the Premier League which leaves them 16th in the table despite being crowned champions just a few months ago.

Hazard is one of the players that isn’t performing at his best so far this season, and he’s admitted that the tough start has made him realise he’s not untouchable.

The Belgium was dropped by Mourinho for the Champions League game against FC Porto, and he’s revealed it was a wake-up call for him to do better.

Discussing his exclusion from the side, he also went on to discuss Mourinho and he’s adamant the Portuguese won’t lose his job.

Hazard Defends Mourinho

“I was left on the bench against Porto in the Champions League, and I am no longer immune to being left out,” he said.

“You can be untouchable when you play well, and that has not been the case with me.

“I think the manager wanted to send me a message by making me a sub. I don’t read everything he says, but he explains everything.

“I am not too worried for him – Mourinho is the best coach in the world when it comes to dealing with pressure.

“I am an optimist, and I know I can learn a lot from tough spells.

“I hope to come back stronger, and I am ready to play and do my best.”
