Chelsea star, Eden Hazard, has revealed why he would reject the chance to join Real Madrid in the Summer.
Reports have suggested that if the Spanish side sell Gareth Bale, they would turn to Hazard as a suitable replacement, but the Belgium international has revealed why he would snub the chance to move to La Liga and why he is happy with Chelsea.
Hazard was a wanted man over the Summer with numerous reports linking him with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but nothing formalised after the French side splashed £50million on his team-mate, David Luiz.
Now, it’s suggested that Manchester United may make a £90million bid for Bale, and if Madrid choose to accept that and let the Welshman go, they will try and lure Hazard from Stamford Bridge to the Bernabeu.
However, they’ve been dealt a blow with the winger stating his desire to stay in London.
“I made the choice to join Chelsea because I knew I was going to play,” he told Canal+.
“This is my third year here. I don’t know if I’m the main asset of the team, but I can take pleasure by playing in this team.
“I have no nostalgia when I watch Ligue 1, I think about the future not the past.
“Paris [Saint-Germain] have huge players, but Chelsea have more experience and more players in certain positions. And we also have a better experience in the Champions League.
“I never said that if I left Chelsea it will only be for Real Madrid. The only club that makes me dream is Chelsea.”
