England face Harry Kane injury scare ahead of international friendlies

Harry Kane is part of England’s squad for international friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.

England may face a big blow during the international friendlies as their captain Harry Kane was forced off injured during Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga clash with SV Darmstadt 98 on Saturday afternoon.

The 30-year-old was forced off in the 82nd minute of the contest after sliding into the post. He got medical treatment on the field before it was decided that he would have to be substituted.

Harry Kane is part of England’s squad for international friendlies against Brazil and Belgium on March 23 and March 26 respectively.

Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel revealed after the match that the Englishman had twisted his ankle in the collision. He may miss both ties due to injury.

Tuchel told reporters, “He collided with the post and twisted his ankle a bit – he had his ankle iced. There’s still no diagnosis, we have to wait. I hope it’s nothing bad,”

Kane also took to social media after the match and made no mention of the injury. He said, “Proud to break a Bundesliga record but more importantly another good win.”

Harry Kane has scored 31 Bundesliga goals this season, more than any other player in their first season in Germany’s top flight. Bayern still remain second in the Bundesliga table, seven points behind Bayer Leverkusen.
