Chelsea’s highly-rated youngster Tammy Abraham has signed a new contract with the club, the forward confirmed on his Twitter page today
Abraham impressed the Blues staff when he scored during Chelsea’s 3-1 FA Youth Cup final first leg win against Manchester City last season, whilst also hitting the net in quite a few other matches.
The young Englishman made his Under-18 debut as a 16-year-old in August 2013 and having scored more than 20 goals for the younger age group , he was moved up a level rapidly.
After a couple of unfortunate injuries for the youngster, Abraham returned fully fit last season and netted 19 goals just before Christmas
However, Chelsea Boss Jose Mourinho has been criticised in the past for failing to introduce youth players into his line-ups, although, the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Solanke and Kurt Zouma have all been involved under the Blues Boss.
While Abraham still has a while to go to reach those levels, the future is very bright for the youngster.
