The winners were revealed this morning

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino and Manchester United striker Anthony Martial have been named the Barclays Premier League manger and player of the month respectively.

Spurs’ chief Pochettino wins the award after his team won three straight games against Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Manchester City.

The North London team also remain unbeaten in England’s top flight, which provides more reason for Pochettino to win his second manager of the month award since he began applying his trade in the Premier League.

The Argentine first won the trophy back in January 2013 when he was in charge at Southampton.

On there other hand, United’s Martial has certainly made an impact since his big money move from Monaco. The 19-year old swoops the player of the month trophy after scoring three goals in his first two league games.

The French international centre forward scored on his debut against arch rivals Liverpool in a 3-1 win at Old Trafford; before bagging a brace at St. Mary’s in a 3-2 victory over Southampton.
