The experienced striker from Cameroon joined Chelsea in the summer on an initial one year contract. Although many questioned the move at the time and some of his performances at the club, Et0’o could be slowly winning the fans over with winning goals against Liverpool and a hat trick against struggling defending champions Manchester United.
Eto’o was signed from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala and has currently made 14 appearances scoring six goals. After successful spells at Barcelona and Inter Milan where he enjoyed both domestic and European success at both clubs, Samuel Eto’o wants to win the Barclays Premier League to add to his list of achievements and complete them.
“I had the chance to play in Spain, we won,” Eto’o told Le Monde. “I had the chance to play in Italy, we won. And I hope that, thanks to God, I will also win a title in England. And I think my career will be complete.”
After beating Man City yesterday and becoming the first team to beat City at the Etihad this season Chelsea have reinforced their ambitions of winning the Premier League this season. With Jose Mourinho at the helm Chelsea are definitely considered one of the favourites along with Manchester City to win the Premier League this season and complete Eto’os list of achievements.
