Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has asked fans not to blame Jose Mourinho for United’s disasters this season.
This is what he had to say about United and Mourinho. “Of course. I said this also after the Liverpool game, that we have to take responsibility and do our best to play better and to win games. I don’t know (what changed at Cardiff). This is the question no-one has an answer to but we are sure this is the way to continue, to fight and we will try to do it. This is football. In football this happens. We know also it’s not only the manager’s fault when the results are not good. But this is football and we have to carry on, to fight for the club.
The player worked with Jose before in Chelsea where the duo won two trophies including a Premier League trophy. Matic however, himself has not been at his best this season for United but unlike Martials, Pogbas or Rashfords. he for some reason escaped the manager’s wrath and was not for once axed from the first team.
Matic will know just like United, his performance has to also improve for him to do make the first team now.
